2024 Leadership Mission

September 30 - OCTOBER 2 | GALWAY & MAYO

DAY THREE

The sun shone on our delegation once again for the third day of the Irish American Partnership 2024 Leadership Mission in counties Galway and Mayo.

The teachers, students, and parents of St. Muredach's College in Ballina gave us a tremendous welcome with particular thanks to their wonderful musicians and Principal Wayne Walsh. From there we crossed the River Moy to hear about the wonderful plans and community initiatives at The Mary Robinson Centre.

Our friend and Mayo County Councillor Mark Duffy took us on a tour of the Great Convent Revival project - an ambitious reimagining of the closed Convent of the Immaculate Conception, All Hallows, which will consist of a return of the old chapel, the creation of a museum space, and a space for artists, music, and community.
