For 75 years, we waited. We watched heartbreak after heartbreak, told ourselves “next year,” and never stopped believing that one day the green and red would once again climb the steps of the Hogan Stand.

Then, on July 26, 2026, the wait finally ended. Mayo are All-Ireland Champions. 

Now, it’s time to celebrate.

Cairde Mayo Chicago invites you to join us for a very special fundraising dinner on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at Chicago Cut Steakhouse, in the company of the victorious Mayo football team and the Sam Maguire Cup itself.

This is a truly once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the Mayo community in Chicago to raise a glass with the players and management who ended Mayo’s 75-year wait – and to see Sam Maguire up close on American soil, proudly back in Mayo hands.

Expect an unforgettable evening of great food, great company, stories, and celebration as we come together to honor the team that made history and finally brought Sam home.

Most importantly, this celebration is about giving back. All funds raised will go directly to Mayo GAA, helping support the team, players, and football development throughout the county for years to come.

Whether you followed every heartbreaking final from your living room, traveled across the Atlantic to Croke Park, or simply carried Mayo in your heart through all those “maybe next years” – this celebration is for you.
