The Young Partners Boston network welcomed Special Envoy Joseph P. Kennedy III for their annual Speaker Series event on October 17.
The event, kindly hosted by our friend Dan Conley at Mintz, saw 60 supporters, including Partnership Board members, gather to welcome U.S. Special Envoy to Northern Ireland for Economic Affairs, Joseph P. Kennedy III.
We were welcomed by Young Partners Committee Chair Derek Kelliher and Consul General of Ireland Síghle FitzGerald, who spoke of the importance of the diaspora and the impact of Partnership support in schools and communities across Ireland.
“I don’t think there’s a better way of honoring our Irish heritage than by educating and empowering Ireland’s young people.”
– Consul General of Ireland Síghle FitzGerald
Thank you to our moderator Meghan O’Toole, who thoughtfully led the discussion with Special Envoy Kennedy. Special Envoy Kennedy spoke about the strength of the diaspora, the lasting peace in Northern Ireland, and the role of Partnership supporters in creating a prosperous, equitable Ireland.
“Peace is not something that just happens – it has to be worked at, invested in, and nurtured, and that’s what organizations like the Partnership do.”
– Special Envoy Joseph P. Kennedy III
