Irish Invitational Golf Tournament
SEPTEMBER 14 – 17, 2025
ROYAL PORTRUSH | ROYAL COUNTY DOWN | ARDGLASS
The Irish American Partnership extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us for the 2025 Irish Invitational Golf Tournament. Over three incredible days, golfers enjoyed world-class courses, spectacular weather, and—true to tradition—plenty of camaraderie and craic.
The Irish Invitational golfers enjoyed unparalleled golf on Ireland’s north coast links courses, including two of the top ten-ranked courses internationally, hosting rounds at Royal Portrush (site of the 153rd Open Championship in 2025), Royal County Down (site of 2024 Irish Open), and Ardglass Golf Clubs.
Congratulations to Team Bushmills who captured the Irish Heritage Cup, and to this year’s overall champions Barry Dillon and Brendan O’Mara! Special thanks to our tournament captains Ted Sheehan, Stephen Power, and Ireland Golf Chair Barry Dillon for their leadership and dedication.
We were delighted to welcome Lady Mary Peters to our Gala Dinner, where she shared the incredible story of her gold medal win for the pentathlon at the 1972 Munich Olympics. A beloved figure in Northern Ireland, Lady Peters has spent decades promoting and encouraging its young sportspeople. From establishing its first high-standard synthetic athletic track to founding the Mary Peters Trust, she has been a stalwart ambassador for sport, and for Northern Ireland.
Beyond the competition, the tournament highlighted the generosity of our community and its commitment to the Partnership’s mission of supporting education and opportunity across Ireland, North and South. At the Gala Dinner, we were proud to announce $357,650 in funding to schools, scholarships, and community organizations across Northern Ireland, made possible by the steadfast generosity of our supporters.
