FAQ

What is the mission of the Irish American Partnership?

Our mission is to deepen the connection between the people of Ireland and America through targeted investment across the island, honoring our heritage by educating and empowering Ireland’s youth.

Dedicated to connecting Irish America and friends of Ireland to their heritage through targeted giving, we support educational initiatives and community development programs across the island of Ireland since our inception in 1986, and have raised more than $57 million to fund more than 650 schools and community organizations, providing annual university access scholarships at every major Irish university, supporting programs of peace and reconciliation, funding integrated education in Northern Ireland, creating education centers for homeless youth, and promoting Irish arts, sports & cultural heritage programs.

Our Vision

A peaceful and equitable Ireland where every young person has the resources they need to learn and to grow.

Our Values

We connect Irish students, schools, and organizations with our passionate supporters who want to help.

We empower the next generation by equipping teachers and community leaders with the resources they need to educate and inspire.

We invest in the people, culture, and ideas that build a peaceful and prosperous Ireland, one that preserves the Irish way of life we cherish while also creating a more inclusive and equitable society for all.

We strengthen the global Irish community by linking the diaspora back to the island of Ireland.

We value transparency and efficiency, showing where each dollar is spent and the impact you have.

How is the Partnership funded?

The Irish American Partnership raises funds each year through a robust annual calendar of successful and well-attended events in Boston, New York, Washington DC, Chicago, and in Ireland. These events are themed around women’s leadership, St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, business leadership, golf tournaments, and Young Partners professional networking events. A lean, grassroots non-profit organization, the Partnership raises funds through the development and growth of these successful events, individual donor gifts, the Irish Legacy Society, corporate patronage, and mailing and online engagement of our supporters.

100% of donor gifts are directly disbursed to Irish schools, universities, and community development programs and organizations in line with the Partnership mission.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

The Partnership is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization recognized by the IRS with the Tax ID: 22-2801642. Contributions are tax-deductible to the full extent permitted by law.

What percentage of donations go directly to programs and initiatives?

100% of donations go directly to our programs.

We encourage you to select a school or organization that is meaningful to you and your family. Your gift makes you a partner in their success.
