6th Annual Business Leaders Breakfast in New York

6th Annual Business Leaders Breakfast

Union League Club of New York | April 24, 2025

Thank you to our supporters and sponsors who helped make the Irish American Partnership’s 6th annual Business Leaders Breakfast a great success. More than 250 of our supporters and friends came together at the Union League Club of New York on April 24 to celebrate Irish leadership and ingenuity in business.

The Partnership presented its 2025 Business Leadership award to Aidan Kehoe, Founder & Managing Partner at Nadia Partners. Previous honorees include Paul Geaney, President & CCO, Avolon, Adrian Jones, Chairman and Co-Head, Global Private Equity, Goldman Sachs; Stan McCarthy, former Chief Executive, Kerry Group; Michael Dowling, President and Chief Executive at Norwell Health; and Bernie Brennan, President of the Royal Dublin Society.

Guests enjoyed an entertaining and informative interview of Mr. Kehoe by Brian Ruane, Global Head of Clearance with BNY Mellon and Board member of the Partnership. President & CEO of the Partnership Mary Sugrue presented Aidan with this year’s Business Leadership Award, saying:

“We would like to congratulate Aidan Kehoe on his innovation and achievements. I feel particularly inspired by Aidan’s personal mission to unlock the potential of others to do good in the world. At the Partnership, we share his commitment and believe that education is the key to empowering Ireland’s next generation of leaders in building a peaceful, prosperous future on the island. This award is truly deserved and is a testament to Aidan’s ingenuity, and hard work.”

Partnership supporters also welcomed warm and thoughtful remarks by Consul General of New York, Helena Nolan:

“The Partnership – isn’t that the most equitable and inclusive and connected of words? When we hear ‘partnership’ we think of hands joining and supporting one another and raising one another up. I think we think of equality and fairness and of something real that endures. This organization enables individuals to partner with where they or their family come from in Ireland or with a region there which they love. And the partnership allows them to share their heritage and their vision with the next generation through the positive power of education, of learning, of culture, of sports, of the arts.”

A native of County Laois, Aidan is founder and managing partner of Nadia Partners, a firm focused on originating companies in the fields of artificial intelligence and energy transition.
An accomplished entrepreneur, Aidan previously founded and led SKOUT Cybersecurity and Oxford Global, both of which he successfully built and exited. His vision and leadership continue to shape innovation across multiple industries.
Special thanks to our Co-Chairs Brian Ruane, Global Head of Clearance and Collateral Management with BNY Mellon and Board member of the Partnership, Tommy Dwyer, and Sean Clune, President of Clune Construction New York, and to our generous Sponsors who support the work of the Partnership year after year. Together, we invest in the future of Ireland – the young people, the culture, and the ideas that are writing the next chapter in Irish history.
