St. Muredach’s College
St. Muredach’s College is a Catholic diocesan boys college under the patronship of the Bishop of Killala. The College first opened in 1906. With high aspirations for its students, St. Muredach’s believes strongly that building students’ learning capacity has the power to transform lives.
Once known as the “seat of education,” and the only secondary school in North Mayo, the school building and facilities have deteriorated. Principal Wayne Walsh has requested our Young Partners’ support for resources to promote outdoor play, physical activity, and learning through the Partnership’s Outdoor Play & Learning initiative.
Our boys are incredible! They have so much courage and loyalty to the school. They have won two basketball U19 All-Ireland titles this year, though we do not have a basketball court, practice nets, or anywhere for them to play. I am eternally grateful to the Young Partners for your support.
