The Tinteán is a 530 seater theatre located in Ballybunion Co. Kerry on The Wild Atlantic Way. Since It was opened in 2006 it has become a cultural hub for the visual and performing arts in the South West of Ireland.  Apart from its artistic contribution the Tinteán is an integral part of the local economy attracting visitors from all parts of Ireland and beyond to the resort for some of its events. In 2021 a new group of trustees were appointed to run the Tinteán on behalf of the local community. The trustees  are organising a fundraising event on May 31st., at Rockland County Golf Club, New York, to raise funds to pay off a residual debt on the Tinteán  which they inherited when they were appointed trustees.
