More than 50 supporters were delighted to welcome current Queen’s University Belfast students who are visiting New York as part of the Future Ready Skills for Leaders program, led by Development Officer Ruairi McGrillen.
We announced a $10,000 grant to the Widening Participation scholarship program at Queen’s, which expands access to higher education for young people who may traditionally face greater barriers to attending university.
One of the Partnership’s core tenets is that every child in Ireland should have the resources they need to learn and to grow. This program ensures that all children have an equal opportunity to attend university.
We were welcomed by Vice Consul Ellen Flanagan, who spoke about the importance of ensuring all young people are supported throughout their educational journey and also heard from Laura Logan, current Queen’s University student and participant in the Future Ready Skills for Leaders program.
